Ankit Tomar is a dedicated yoga educator, anatomy specialist, and researcher of the neuroscience of yoga based in Rishikesh, India. With a unique blend of traditional yogic wisdom and modern scientific understanding, he specializes in teaching the anatomical, physiological, energetic, and neurobiological foundations of yoga practice.

The living tradition of yoga — its subtle anatomy, contemplative practice and centuries of insight into the inner life.

A contemporary, evidence-based lens on what actually happens in the body and brain during practice — measurable, mechanistic and grounded in research.

Understand how yoga practice interacts with the brain, nervous system and processes of neuroplasticity.
Explore the human body through functional anatomy, physiology and the mechanisms behind yoga practice.
Develop a deeper understanding of movement, alignment and functional anatomy through Hatha Yoga.
A closer look at what a posture, a breath and a moment of stillness are actually doing beneath the surface.
How bones, joints and fascia move — and what true alignment really asks of them.
Why the way you breathe can calm or charge your whole system: the science behind pranayama.
How focused attention reshapes the brain, and how stillness changes the way you meet experience.
Where the old maps of prana and awareness meet what research now shows — two languages, one experience.
A private, one-to-one session built around what you want to explore — anatomy and alignment, breath and the nervous system, meditation and the deeper principles of yoga. Available online or in person in Rishikesh.

Ankit has taught students from around the world, making complex subjects such as anatomy, neurophysiology, alignment, fascia, breath science, energetic anatomy and consciousness accessible and practical.
His mission is to help yoga practitioners and teachers develop a deeper understanding of the relationship between consciousness, the nervous system, movement, breath and human potential.

When you understand what a posture, a breath or a moment of stillness is actually doing, your practice deepens and your teaching sharpens. That is the heart of the work.

It is the study of how yoga practice interacts with the brain, nervous system and neuroplasticity, explaining why breath, movement and stillness change the way we think, feel and regulate stress.
He is based in Tapovan, Rishikesh (India) and has taught students and teachers internationally, including the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Germany, Australia, France, Spain, Singapore and the UAE.
